Our story: handcrafted halal tallow skincare
The balm Filiz made for her family.
Talglow started in a Sydney kitchen because nothing on the shelf answered two questions at once: is this actually halal, and is this actually good for reactive skin. Filiz's daughter had eczema. The creams that worked came with ingredient lists she couldn't verify, and the tallow balms that looked right came from unknown sources with no certification behind the word.
So she learned to render it herself - badly at first, then properly. Six months of filtering, testing and calling abattoirs later, Talglow now provides halal tallow skincare made in Australia, for Australia. It is still poured by hand, still in batches of no more than 60 tins, and Filiz still writes the lot numbers on by hand.

Suet ethically sourced from a named NSW farm committed to halal slaughter practices, animal welfare, and regenerative agriculture.
Render
Slow wet-rendered at low heat so the fatty acid profile stays intact.
Triple filter
Filtered three times, mechanically with stainless steel instruments. Strictly no micro-plastics.
Hand-Poured
Blended with therapeutic grade essential oils where used, then hand-poured.
Label & log
Each tin is hand labelled with the ingredients it contains.
